Get behind the wheel for the first time with the First Drive programme at the Leinster Driving Campus. Drive a dual controlled vehicle under instruction from an Approved Driving Instructor in a safe environment on a private road facility.
The campus includes over 2kms of private roads with marked junctions, a roundabout, yellow box junction, traffic lights etc. The site has two classrooms, plus a coffee dock and toilet facilities for waiting parents. This lesson covers: Vehicle familiarisation & safety checks, Car foot and hand controls, Move away and stop, observation, mirror use, Junction routines, left and right and Roundabouts, pedestrian crossing, traffic lights. Minimum participant age is 14 years. No previous experience is necessary.
Leinster Driving Campus is located in Taghadoe, Co. Kildare. The Campus operates 7 days a week, 11.00am to 1.00pm. Advance booking on AllGifts.ie is required.

Coming from Dublin
Take exit for Maynooth from the M4. At the roundabout take the second exit sign posted for Naas R406. At the crossroads (at the large ESB station) turn right. Finally take your first turn left at Leinster Driving Campus entrance.
Coming from the West
Take exit for Maynooth from the M4. Turn right at T junction off the motorway. At the roundabout take the second exit sign posted for Naas R406. At the crossroads (at the large ESB power station) turn right. Finally take your first turn left at Leinster Driving Campus entrance.
Coming from Kildare
From Clane take the R403 to the Barberstown roundabout and take first exit going left signposted for Maynooth. Continue on the R406 till you come to a crossroads (at the large ESB power station) where you'll turn left. Finally take your first turn left at Leinster Driving Campus entrance.
Coming from Maynooth
From Maynooth town follow the R406 heading for Straffan or Naas. Go over the M4 and at the roundabout take the second exit sign posted for Naas R406. At the crossroads (at the large ESB station) turn right. Finally take your first turn left at Leinster Driving Campus entrance.
