Learning to fly an aeroplane is a challenging and rewarding experience. SkyWest will help you fulfill this challenge in a friendly and professional atmosphere.
Flying Time: 30 minutes (from engine start-up pre-take off to engine shutdown post landing). SkyWest provides a fully comprehensive Private Pilots Licence (PPL) training package including certified Flying Training, Ground School and pre test preparation. Price quoted is for 1 person. You must be over 13 years of age to fly. A size restriction of a medium build and 19 stone applies. This experience is weather dependent.
SkyWest is based at Newcastle Airfield, Co. Wicklow. They operate 7 days a week during daylight hours, subject to weather. Advance booking on AllGifts.ie is required.
The flying school is open 7 days a week, and flying takes place during daylight hours only.
All flying lessons and pleasure flights need to be booked in advance. Weekends are the busiest time, so please try to book at least 2 weeks in advance for Saturday and Sunday flights to avoid disappointment.
Newcastle Airfield is located 20kms south of Dublin on the main Dublin – Wexford road.
• Take any exit for Newcastle from the N11 (Dublin - Wexford road)
• As you come into Newcastle take the Sea Road ( well signposted) for approx. two miles.
• Entrance to the airfield is on the left hand side and is well signposted
